Free Alpha Test2: Picking up the pace

Our second alpha test goes live on Tuesday, March 8th (15.00 UTC+0) and we’re excited to see how the community responds to the recent changes. There’s a lot that’s different in this update and we think it brings Robocraft Royale closer to a proper battle royale game.

What you’re going to play is still a rough game, but we hope you’ll enjoy what we’ve been experimenting with. And now friends, it needs testing. Continue to push the game to its limits, and to help us find any problems. You are the most important part of this test, and your feedback is vital. Make sure to share with your friends and give your first impressions on the forums and other social media spaces. After you’ve played, tell us how stable the game was for you and what you’d like to see as the game evolves (details below).

What’s new?

Here is a quick list of what to expect:

  • Health and weapon energy pick ups
  • Free-look controls (press alt)
  • New building layouts
  • New bots
  • Spit Polish
  • Post-alpha test1 launcher available

The big change you’ll see is the introduction of health and ammo pickups scattered around the map. Rather than automatically regenerate energy for your weapons, you’ll have to gather energy cells to restore the energy used by your weapons. Additionally, we’ve also added repair kits that allow you to restore your health as long as you’re not taking damage.

We’ve also made loads of improvements to the buildings and maps with improve layouts and artwork along with a collection of interesting new buildings for you to explore and fight over. Combined with these map improvements we’ve also greatly expanded the library of bots available to to fight with ranging from new jet fighters, mechs, and other characters.
